About
Carry On is a fabric thrift and creative reuse business surviving and thriving in North East Louisiana, one of the richest regions in the world for incredible vintage fabric. We are a part of a strong community of home sewing craftspeople and Carry On Thrifty Fabrics shares a passion for treasured materials that are available to be passed on from one generation to the next.
Our ethos is abundance. Carry On believes there is enough second hand material on planet earth for us to pass around for a while. Our inspiration comes from other fabric thrift and creative reuse stores and we stand in solidarity with their online prices, because we believe there is enough for there to be many businesses just like ours that serve many vibrant communities of craftspeople all over our planet! If you can't find what you need here, go to the other lovely fabric thrift store websites and check their inventory. It really is the beauty of all of us sharing fabric that has already been purchased once before, instead of sending good stuff to the landfill.
We hope to deliver immaculate service for your making needs, whether it be quilting, dressmaking, puppet building, studio art, set decorating, costuming, you name it and I would love to help you find what you need! I, Kelsey, am always an email away and if I don't have to answer to a question you have, I got a small army of theatre craftspeople and old school home sewists that I can call to help answer you question the best I can. That's the beauty of small fabric stores is discussing the finer points of project building. I have a background in puppet building and props design for theatre so there's not really anything too out there for me to imagine.
Thank you for discovering and exploring Carry On Thrifty Fabrics!
